On the first day of my vacation, I attended a zoom meeting that invited lecturers and students from one of the universities in Hokkaido, Japan. They explained about the daily life of students in Japan, showed the winter atmosphere, and held a snowman-making competition.
After the program, I cleaned the house and took a nap. The next day, I watched several movies, one of my favorite movies was called "Anne With An E". The movie tells the story of an orphaned girl who is taken care of by elderly siblings. The character Anne is stubborn and talkative, Anne loves to read poetry, and has a lot of imagination. This movie also explains and emphasizes that women can do whatever they want, without having to care about the will and words of the people around them, women can achieve education and aspirations as high as possible, without having to stop school to learn to be a good housewife. This movie teaches us that no one has the right to judge another person, be it by their gender, descent, physique or background.
The next day, I helped cook the food that would be used as a side dish that day. Then I washed the dishes, swept the floor, tidied the room, and mopped the floor. Then I took a nap, played guitar, drew, and watched a movie. Besides the movie "Anne With An E", I also watched several other movies, such as "Zootopia", "Wednesday", Disney princess movies, and anime produced by Studio Ghibli. Some of them are "Spirited Away", "Ponyo", "When Marnie Was There", "The Grave Of Fireflies", and many more. Before watching a movie, I usually go to the convenience store with my brother to buy some snacks so that I don't get bored while watching the movie. Besides watching movies, I also reread books that I have read, both novels and comics.
The next few days, I continued with the same activities. That is helping to cook, sweeping the floor, watching movies, washing dishes, washing clothes, mopping the floor, playing cellphones, reading books, drawing, and also sleeping. I also made cookies as a boredom reliever, simple cookies topped with chocolate jam and strawberry jam. Although the taste is okay, I'm happy because I can make cookies, and I finally found a new hobby.
Besides that, I also look after my younger brother. On New Year's Eve, I didn't do anything special, I just did the same activities as the people around my house, which was grilling, such as burning sausages, meatballs, and also burning chicken. Before the grilling, I go to the market to buy the ingredients, then buy singkok chips, and also buy food and drinks.
Almost every night, I ride around on my motorcycle with my brother and sister, just to relieve boredom. I went to the minimarket several times to buy things I needed and bought snacks too. During my vacation I learned to play the guitar, played the 'Twitter' app and also watched 'Youtube' videos. The next day I spent chatting with my family and watching TV. I also helped clean and organize some aquariums at home to make them more beautiful. Occasionally I also help water the plants in front of the house.
